  • Discover how aluminium frames contribute to the energy performance of modern buildings.
  • Get hands-on with real-world installation examples to understand best practices.

APPLICATION FOR SEMINAR

The European Union’s energy objectives have propelled energy conservation to the forefront of building design. The urgency lies in the mandate to transform both new and existing structures into zero-energy, zero-emission edifices by 2050. This seminar serves as a beacon, elucidating the fundamental tenets that underpin the creation of nearly zero-energy buildings, with a focal point on the pivotal contribution of aluminium frames.

Key highlights of the seminar

  • Gain insights into the prevailing energy landscape within the existing building sector, examining its challenges and opportunities.
  • Explore emerging sustainable design and construction standards (passive buildings).
  • Uncover the significance of the building envelope in realising substantial energy savings.
  • Delve into the integral role of aluminium frames in enhancing contemporary buildings’ energy efficiency.

APPLICATION FOR SEMINAR

Conducting a meticulous energy audit of buildings is an indispensable process. The ramifications of errors in the building envelope or the installation of aluminium frames are far-reaching, encompassing heightened energy consumption, escalated operational and maintenance expenses, diminished property value, and an adverse environmental footprint.

Within the framework of this seminar, engineers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to scrutinise both the post-installation performance of aluminium frames and the overall efficacy of the building envelope. A primary focus is directed toward assessing air tightness through deploying the Blower Door Test and detecting thermal bridges, energy losses, moisture ingress, and air leaks, facilitated by using cutting-edge thermometric tools.

Key highlights of the seminar

  • Delve into the pivotal performance factors, discern critical checkpoints, and understand the tolerance limits for ensuring energy efficiency.
  • Familiarise yourself with the measurement tools that streamline the post-installation energy assessment.
  • Explore the application of advanced materials that enhance accuracy.

APPLICATION FOR SEMINAR

Fire protection is equally important to energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Confining the spread of fire during an emergency and allowing ample time for evacuation are paramount concerns that directly impact the safety and well-being of individuals.

In light of this, we have created a specialised seminar that delves into the fundamental principles of passive fire protection, in conjunction with an exploration of the solutions presented by ALUMIL’s fire-rated aluminium systems.

Key highlights of the seminar

  • Navigate the landscape of fire protection regulations and standards, as established in the institutional framework, with reference to Government Gazette 80/A/07-05-2018.
  • Grasp the essential principles that underpin effective fire protection measures.
  • Discover the innovative fire-rated aluminium systems by ALUMIL (S77FR, M50FR, M84FR, and M7FR).
  • Master the installation of fire-rated aluminium frames.

DISCOVER USEFUL TOOLS

Blower Door Test

The Blower Door Test harnesses specialised equipment, featuring a sizable fan installed at one of the building’s exterior doors. This test is conducted to assess the structure’s air tightness. Moreover, it serves as a method for pinpointing airflow irregularities between windows and masonry.

DISCOVER USEFUL TECHNIQUES

Thermography

Infrared thermography emerges as a highly efficient and cost-effective technique for detecting and quantifying imperceptible infrared energy emissions from objects. Executed using a thermal camera, this technology detects heat and transforms it into a visual representation. Engineers can uncover energy losses through building thermography, identify water and air infiltration, and strategically plan and evaluate energy-enhancing measures for their projects.
